Ken Wayman Posted 23 January , 2007 Share Posted 23 January , 2007 Just finished reading this slim but impressive volume of Paul Thornber's poems inspired by walking the Somme battlefields, poems that are given context by the perceptive end-of-section commentaries by Terry Carter. I thoroughly recommend this work to anyone who has even a passing interest in Great War poetry - you won't be disappointed! Ken

Ken Wayman Posted 23 January , 2007 Author Share Posted 23 January , 2007 OUR Terry Carter? Well done Tel .... oh and his comrade in arms too! Very much OUR Tel! His "comrade in arms", Paul Thornber, initiated the project and the entire work revolves around his superb poems. Thought-provoking, to say the least.
