burlington Posted 29 November , 2003 Share Posted 29 November , 2003 I thought colleagues might like to know that I have just found a useful Canadian book site- CEF Books- at http://members.rogers.com/cefbooks/CEFHP.html I assume many of the titles are available in the UK but for one book that I am looking for, Bird's '13 years on', they are the recommended supplier. Paul Reed Posted 29 November , 2003 Share Posted 29 November , 2003 The 'King & Empire' series of guidebooks to CEF battlefields are excellent, and there are some fantastic reprints of CEF memoirs; Fraser's 'The Journal of Private Fraser' being one of the better ones. MartinWills Posted 29 November , 2003 Share Posted 29 November , 2003 You will also find a selection of them available at the Canadian places of remembrance on the Western Front - and probably cheaper than elsewhere, though do remember that these places have seasonal opening hours. I have bought various volumes at Newfoundland Park visitor centre and at Vimy Ridge (the centre near the monument and not the visitor centre for the tunnels and craters.
