historydavid Posted 16 January , 2007 Share Posted 16 January , 2007 On 11th April 1916 the SS Angus, built 1904, 3,619 grt, was captured in 39.57N, 01.08E by German submarine U 34 then shelled and sunk 76 miles ExN from Valencia, Spain, Mediterranean Sea on voyage Calcutta to Barcelona & Bilbao carrying cotton & jute.
