Joe58 Posted 11 December , 2006 Share Posted 11 December , 2006 Hi , I am looking for any suggestions or help that anyone can offer me regarding research i have been attempting on my G uncle Pte William Traveller as i seem to become stuck for ideas. I have so far got details from the soldiers who died in the Great war cd and his medal card from the National archives although i am told his army records are among those that were burnt in WW2. I have also managed to gain a bit of info from the History centre in surrey regarding the circumstances of the 2nd Bn around the date he died. Does anyone know if i have much chance of finding a photo of my G uncle in a local newspaper of the time , the History centre apparently have a lot of photos but few include names. I have listed William details below . Thanks in advance Joe The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) 2nd Bn. Age: 18 Date of Death: 16/03/1915 Service No: S/6487 Additional information: Nephew of A.
