I am researching my wife's uncle:

BURLINGHAM

Initials: F P

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Driver

Regiment/Service: Army Service Corps

Unit Text: Horse Transport

Secondary Regiment: Royal Army Medical Corps

Secondary Unit Text: attd. 75th Field Amb.

Date of Death: 31/10/1918

Service No: T4/038278

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: II. A. 13.

Cemetery: BUSIGNY COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION

He lived in Larling, Norfolk.

I'd be grateful if any Pal could advise me in which newspaper his obituary would be recorded. There are no pictures of him in the family and I'm hoping you might be able to help.

Many thanks

Stephen

If his death is featured The Watton and Thetford Times would cover the area he came from, failing that either The Eastern Daily Press or The Eastern Evening News. Some, but not all, are on microfilm in The Forum here in Norwich.

The Norfolk Regimental Museum should also have something on him.

Keith

Thanks for that. Is it just possible that any Pal has access to obituaries from this papers?

Any other thoughts welcome too.

Cheers again.

Hi Stephen,

This entry comes from the Roll of Honour published by the EDP in 1920.

This entry from the SDGW CD.

Is it just this relative?

I'd support what Keith has already stated.
