I have tried to pinpoint number blocks of 1st Essex who served in Ireland I have had some hit and misses due to men being attached elsewhere but the rule has been about 90% accurate 598****-5999*** On the same subject I am trying to locate a photo of 5999002 CSM Harry Benton who won his MBE in the same action at Newcestown on 10/10/20 that Percival won his OBE.
