Simon R Posted 4 December , 2006 Share Posted 4 December , 2006 Lt. Edward Branch Pollard died on 26/07/1915 at the age of 32 and was the son of George Richard Macintosh Pollard and Grace Husband Pollard. London Gazette gives him as temp. Lt. trans. from 8th (Service) btn. KOSB to general list from 17th April 1915. CWGC tells us he was attd. to RE at time of death and look at MIC listing tells us he was by then full Lt. Can anyone add anything else?

spoons Posted 6 December , 2006 Share Posted 6 December , 2006 According to http://www.cast.org.uk/dagwargraves.htm his grave is in Moffat. Probably he is commemorated on the Moffat war memorial. I will probably be going to Moffat fairly soon and intend to photograph the war memorial - if you would like me to mail the photo to you, please PM your email. Would you like me to look for his grave and photograph it if I find it?

I've heard the KOSB was considered something of a "family" regiment, so perhaps there's a connection.
