VC plaque - latest

The latest copy of Medal News is now out and it's got an interview with Lord Michael Ashcroft, a few other VC news items (mainly auction stuff) and a piece I submitted about Lt Col Dan Burges VC DSO.... see below.

There are a few mistakes - Burges with 2 "s", wrong battalion and regiment (should be 7th Btn South Wales Borderers) and the cemetery is Arnos Vale, not Amos Vale.... other than that it's great :D

Really good reading this month. Ashcroft does the medal proud in his statements, fingers crossed that when the collection comes to be displayed it does the collection and the medal PROUD.

Just a shame yet again it is going to be in London, the place where the parking is trouble, you pay to get into the centre of, its over populated, big threat in the political thread from terrorism all to name but a few. Bring the collection to Stoke I say, lol. Manchester or Birmingham would be better or 3 months in London, 3 months in Birmingham, 3 months in Manchester and 3 months in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Let the nation see without too much trouble the medal collection without having to spend a little fortune getting there.

Great idea kevin they could charge a small fee, all money going to the upkeep of the VC and those cant afford to go to london could see them .
