The problem with letting on to to none-interested parties that you have an interest in the Great War leads them to think you are an expert on everything military! Hence, this question, does anyone know the details of the Norwegian equivalent of the CWGC please?

Norwegian war graves are the responsibility of the Norwegian government department - Kultur-og Kirkedepartementet (Ministry of Culture & Church Affairs).

See www.odin.dep.no/kkd/engelsk/ministry/index-b-n-a.html

The minister's name is Valgerd Svarstad Haugland (Mrs)

Of course, Norwegian war graves in the UK are looked after by CWGC by mutual agreement with Norway. I have a list of all those in the UK if that will help you.

I have the names, locations, date of death, grave numbers, service etc of all foreign war graves in the care of CWGC in the UK (WW1 & WW2) including the Norwegians. Also of all Americans buried in Brookwood and Cambridge who are in the care of the ABMC.

Terry,

thankyou very much for the info, the details are for somebody trying to track down the location of the grave of RNorAF WingCo shot down over Holland.

Kevin.
