Could members of the Forum help me with any information about:

Lieutenant Kenneth Gordon Fleetwood PINHEY of 83 Brigade RFA

Killed at Zillebeke Lake 2nd August 1917. I am particulary interested in a photograph of him or any other information. His father was the son of Lt. Col. Sir Alexander Pinhey of the Indian Army and his mother was Lady Violet Pinhey who resided in London and Brighton. He was, I believe, related in some way to General Gordon of Khartoum. Any information about him or his family, past or present, would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Lieutenant Kenneth Fleetwood Gordon Pinhey

I believe his father was Lt Col Sir Alexander Fleetwood Pinhey (b 10th July 1861, d 7th Sept 1916, India)) and his mother Violet Beatrice Gordon (born 28th Dec 1868 Woolwich Arsenal) who married in Bombay 10th Feb 1891.

I also believe Violet Beatrice Gordon was the daughter of General Sir Henry Gordon (1833-1885) "General Gordon of Khartoum"

Pam

Hi Anne – My wife is a relative of Kenneth. I was wondering if you are researching the Pinheys generally. If so perhaps we could exchange information?

Hello Martin - I've not looked at my posting for 2 days and was thrilled to read your reply to my query. I have quite of lot of info on Kenneth and A/83, RFA which I'd be glad to exchange and I'm sure that you would be interested in - can I contact you?

Look forward to hearing from you .... Anne
