13th Battalion CEF Brodie

Has anyone seen the 13th Battalion CEF Brodie listed on ebay (auction 200050478511)? Besides the price, does anyone have any opinions on it?

Why does he insist that it belonged to an officer? I don't believe that he mentions any name written on it, or provenance... looks like just a nice clean example that could have belonged to anyone serving in the 13th Bn (or 1st bn if the circle is green)

I hope he gets what he is aking for--(only because I have a complete rimless with 13th Bn flash on it too)

John is correct the helmet is bog standard--post spring 1917-- in very good condition but no particular reason why an officer would have it.

The flash could very well be real--but you'd probably have to examine it first hand.

I'm a bit of a paranoid collector especially to things marked to well known units. I need to know the provence of the item or trust the sellers judgement, for 3.7K thats not a problem???

An additional comment. This helmet has been auctioned before. It was not offered at this bargain price that time.

I also note that all sales are final. I think at an asking price of $3.7k that's simply an outrageous condition of sale-in my opinion of course.
