Guest philipeedy Posted 23 November , 2006 Share Posted 23 November , 2006 My Great Grandfather - Harry Hutchings (serial NO - 20787) served with the 64th West Lancs Field Ambulance - RAMC. He was 30 years of age and didn't see my grandmother - she was born after his death. He was killed on the 24th October 1918 and is buried in the Beaumont-En-Cambresis Communal Cemetry which is near Cambrai and Le Cateau in the Nord District of northern France. I know deatils of his family but no information about his war record. Can any one help me!? If no information on him then it would be really interesting if I could find out more about the RAMC in particular the 64th West Lancs. Harry was from Cardiff so why was he attached to this unit? When did they leave for France? Where did they see action? Phil
