I have obtained a Victory medal to No. 590 Pte. Private GEORGE LEAMON 1st Battalion Gloucestershire Regiment who was killed in action on 12th November 1914 whilst fighting at Nonne Bosschen near Inverness Copse which is aside the Menin Road, just south of Ypres.

Does anyone know anything of this man or where his remaining medals are?

Hi, I appreciate this 16 years since your post. George Leamon (Lemon) was my Great Grandfather. There is confusion over his surname as the army recorded it as Leamon, however, he was born Lemon to Eliza Rodway. His children carry a mix of Lemon/Leamon. His brother Albert carried the Lemon surname but was lost at see 1915 during the Dardanelles campaign. I’m sorry I don’t know what happened to George’s medals albeit I would purchase them if they were available.

Hello and welcome to the GWF things have moved on considerably since these posts as far as online records.

The original poster @drm075 has not visited since 2013 though I’ve tagged them for you.  When you have two posts you can send a personal message, if they have the same email that may be the most effective communication
