Hi,

can some one help me with this?

A relative of mine,a Walter Reginald Herbert FLUTE ,private 40655 of the 2nd Bn South Wales Borderers was killed on the 11th April 1918 ,aged 28,and is commemorated at the Ploegsteert memorial.

Can someone tell me what action his battalion was likely to have been taking part in when he was killed?

Many thanks to anyone who can help me,

Susan :)

Hi Bob,

are you able to find out any more detail about the particular action in the Battle of Messine that Walter Flute's Battalion/unit would likely have been taking part in at the exact time of his death/wounding?

Susan :D:D
