A relative of mine,a Walter Reginald Herbert FLUTE ,private 40655 of the 2nd Bn South Wales Borderers was killed on the 11th April 1918 ,aged 28,and is commemorated at the Ploegsteert memorial. Can someone tell me what action his battalion was likely to have been taking part in when he was killed?
