This isn't a Great War subject so I thought it would be nice to display it here in Skindles.

Offficer of Husaren-Regiment von Zieten (Brandenburgisches) Nr.3 c.1900.

54mm white metal figure painted in acrylics.

Excellent work. Attached is a mounted kettle drummer from the same regiment. I do not know if you can get hold of an unpainted acrylic model of one, but painted up it would make an impressive pair.

Thank you Jack. This isn't a very popular period of history with figure painters so this is fairly unique. I have plans to paint some more German Empire figures so watch this space :D

Not sure about a Kettle drummer but this one is from the catologue of a German company Hecker & Goros.

I am full of admiration for anyone who can paint like you. I would not know where to start. You might like to take a look at www.zinnfigur.com, or Google: Berliner Zinnfiguren. I think that that is a different company to the one you mentioned. They certainly do painted and unpainted models, together with books. The website may be accessed in English.

Like a lot of things Jack it's just practice.

The second photo a posted is from the Berliner Zinnfiguren website it's actually written over the pic.

Thanks anyway, I've got my eye on quite a few figures they stock.
