6th Shropshires Posted 18 November , 2006 Share Posted 18 November , 2006 Hi Playsatan Hooge and the area around it was a very fort over place. I can give full details later if no-one else as done so. The 2/D.L.I. took part in an attack on 9th August 1915 along with the rest of the 6th Division, again I will post more on this & map of the area attacked but I do not have time at moment. There is a little book in the Battleground Europe range called Sanctuary Wood & Hooge, which is a useful starter to read about this area.
