sirrom Posted 14 November , 2006 Share Posted 14 November , 2006 Thanks to this forum have now identified fort tregantle as military camp i was looking for ,is there some way to confirm whether a particular unit was there...namely Royal north devon hussars......another question i like to ask is how enlistment worked.....i know my grandfather enlisted in winchester ..why would he be sent to a devon regiment.... Hi Sirrom there is some info reguarding the RNDH on the parent site. The 1st line of the RNDH formed part of the 16th Devons in Jan 1917 (look at parent site under Yeomanry) hope this helps, as to Tregantle Camp I can't find any info of them being there, but that doesn't mean that they were not,cheers Jon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
