Guest littleblackhen Posted 13 November , 2006 Share Posted 13 November , 2006 I am researching a man called Edwin Dyson Healey and I have found his service record. He enlisted at Hull 26.10.1915 into the East Riding Royal Garrison Artillery as a Gunner number 597. His service records looks like this:- E R R G A o/o Embodied Gunner 26.10.15 - " - 2/3 Posted -"- 26.10.15 RGA Posted CRLD Gnr 5.8.16 RGA 2/3 AA Posted -"- 16.12.16 51 AA Sect Posted -"- 10.4.17 Nase Gort (?) Posted Gnr 29.7.18 Home for Demob Gnr 23.1.19 Grantham Is anyone able to tell me what some of the initials mean or anything more about the background to his service? I would like to know what units he served with and what he might have done. He was a shoeing smith before he enlisted and I wondered if he might have continued with this occupation in the army. On his medal index card his number is 133075. Thanks, I would really appreciate your help Janet
