Hi.

Just 'hot footed' it back from the service at Leeds Parish Church where the restored memorial was unveiled today. The service was a fitting tribute and well attended.

Just like to thank mruck (Dave) and his Father, Geoff, for their most excellent company.

Regards, Chris.

Might be a while...I haven't seen her for 2 years, and I haven't been to Leeds for about 6. Maybe you've given me the incentive to make the effort ;)

Many Thanks Chris,

This is a remarkable picture given the light and positon of the memorial, and I was surprised to see so many other plaques and memorials to other units and individuals in Lady Chapel--The Leeds Rifles, and the 17th West Yorks, being amongst others which have been dedicated in recent years. There was also a contingent representing the Great War Society, each wearing the shoulder tabs and insignia of a number of Yorkshire units and regiments, and it seems that these lads have been busy all week doing a tour of the schools, so I would like to say thanks to them also. Lovely photo, Chris.

Cheers
