Aurel Sercu Posted 11 November , 2006 Share Posted 11 November , 2006 Is it allright if I post a handful of pics if Today's Ceremony in this section ? Not the very best photos, but I don't have an optical zoom, and was not really standing in the optimal postion to take pics. (Such a crowd !) ianw Posted 11 November , 2006 Share Posted 11 November , 2006 Thanks Aurel. We had a slightly less grand ceremony (!) at the Leatherhead War Memorial but were directly linked to Ypres by the names on our town memorial that are also repeated with pride on the Menin Gate. As far as I can see it these "Sons of Leatherhead" are "Sons of Ypres" as well. We will remember them.

Not Menin Gate, but from The Great War Remembered, a musical evocation of the different facets of WW1, in Saint Martin's Cathedral (4.30 pm today), presented by The Last Post Association and Koninklijk Sint-Niklaas Mannenkoor.
