L.I.R. March 1918

Hello Cnock

Let me say that I keep tremendous doubts that this photograph has been taken in March 1918.

Just regard the development of the leaves on the trees. This must be May. In the best case end of April.

Best from Hamburg and friendly regards

Malte

If You refer to post nr.4 , You will be right, had no date on the back, slipped between other pics, all the other pics are dated.

Great pics, Cnock. Any idea where the first ones were taken - with the cemetery in the background? It could be anywhere really but it reminds me of the civilian cemetery just outside Flesquieres.

Hi Chris,

I don't know where exactly these pics with the cemetery in the background were taken.

At that time the division was North of Cambrai, region Hem-Lenglet.

Best regards,

Cnock
