Walking The Western Front

Absolutely superb; the website is excellent and the idea behind it so important. As this thread suggests lots of us like the idea of walking the whole western front but the logistics (and my knees) are a challenge. This could be the impetus we all need.

hi im thinking of walking  the western front are there any baggage carriers or is it carry every thing the whole way

From the website, it looks as if you sort out your own route using the suggested maps and make your own arrangements for transporting your possessions.

 

I know of two individuals who supplied detailed information about walking in the Vosges via extensive email correspondence which took many hours. It would have been nice to see their contribution credited. The person who approached them isn't listed as a team member any more so maybe the information they sent has been lost. He was thinking of the wrong war in several of his opinions so it's perhaps as well.
