Hi I'm trying to find any information about Pte F Jones 2457, Army Service Corps, remounts. This information and the fact that he was absent from his address in the autumn of 1918 and spring of 1919, appears on the electoral roll for Fulham. If possible I'd like to try and find his age. If he is the one I'm researching he would be in his late 50s. I was wondering just how feasible it would for someone of this age who wasn't a career army man to be taken on as a volunteer in the First World War for this type of role ?.

Many thanks

The remounts where responsible (amongst other jobs) for obtaining horses - perhaps he had some working knowledge of horses ?
