I have not looked at my books yet but there is little to identify unit, etc. in this photo. The belt buckle appears to be Prussian but it is difficult to tell for sure. The photo is hand tinted and the bayonet knot can give an idea of which company the soldier belonged to but only if the colors were true. Is there any other details about this man you have?
