Guest mazbeth Posted 5 November , 2006 Share Posted 5 November , 2006 Hello Looking for information on my maternal grandfather, Martin Brislin, Royal Warwickshire Regiment 201477 From Aston B'ham Invalided out after being gassed - shell-shock and trench foot also. Was in the Battle of the Somme I will be requesting the Medal Card soon, http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...p;resultcount=1 but I just wondered if anyone had come across any information about him... as mom lost papers about him in house moves in the past. Terry Carter Posted 5 November , 2006 Share Posted 5 November , 2006 The only thing I can help you with is that his six figure service number belonged to a block of numbers issued to the 5th Battalion The Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1917. Thus, he could have served either in the 1/5th or 2/5th Battalions of the Royal Warwicks. Regards Terry
