Help finding Military Cross citation

I am trying to find the Military Cross citation of my Great Uncle - Second Lieutenant Robert Harry Groves who died at the Battle of Arras 12th April 1917. He was in 'C' Company, 3rd Battalion, London Regiment (Royal Fusiliers).

I have tried to find the citation on the London Gazette, but unfortunately this kept on crashing. Does anyone have any ideas of how I could get hold of this?

Many thanks in advance.

If you see a chap called Stebie then grab him - he's the King of the London Gazette.

I see two possibilities:

Gazette Edition, Issue 2920222-June-1915

or

Gazette Edition, Issue 299316-February-1917

Unfortunately the site keeps timing out on me so I cannot say if either are the one you want.

Like you the Gazette is timing out on me, but.......

From "The Times" dated June 19th 1917

Andrew,

Thanks for the response - unfortunately have looked at both of these and they aren't him. We have the military cross at home, but sadly no citation. I was wondering if there is any resource other than the London Gazette in which to find this out?

Also is there any way of finding out how he died?

Sorry for all the questions - new to this.

Edward
