Steve Newman Posted 30 October , 2006 Author Share Posted 30 October , 2006 Hi Ian Two dates in particular I need, I know you helped with war diary details but wondering if Vol 1 Regimental history may cover it in any more depth, the two mena and dates in question are. BURNETT, George 7591, Lance Corporal, 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards Killed In Action, France and Flanders October 29th 1914 Age 25 TWEED, Edward Thomas 10572 Private, 2nd Battalion Coldstream Guards Killed in Action, France & Flanders 16th February 1915 Age 20 And I just noticed my commission came through!! Coldstreamer Posted 30 October , 2006 Share Posted 30 October , 2006 29th October was a bit of a cock up all round - the ammo didnt fit! Burnett was reported missing (father was George also) and presumed killed between 29th and 2 nov 14 I will try and copy the pages and email them over. Let me know your email address.
