Guest L.D. Fraser Posted 30 October , 2006 Share Posted 30 October , 2006 Hello, You guys were so helpful when I was looking for information about my great uncle, Kenneth James Fraser. I managed to get his medical records from the time he was injured right up until he died. My daughter is doing a 4-H project on our family history and how are family is tied into both World Wars. I was hoping maybe you could help me out again. Would you have any idea in which battles he fought in or where I could find out. In a letter home to his mom, my great grandmother, the dates September 27th and September 30th are mentioned. He also mentions be south of Arras. From there he states that they went by train up to the front lines. He also mentions that it was after September 30th that he got hit. Do you have any idea where this would have been. The year that this happened was in 1918. The letter is dated November 1918 and it was written while he was in hospital in Newport, Wales. Thank you in advance for any help that you can give me. L.D. alliekiwi Posted 30 October , 2006 Share Posted 30 October , 2006 Hello. Please could you remind us of what unit he was in, so we could pinpoint what he might have been involved in in the area? Allie

BottsGreys Posted 30 October , 2006 Share Posted 30 October , 2006 This link should take you to the War Diaries of the 16th Bn, CEF, covering 1918. Go to the appropriate month and good luck.
