mcblondie Posted 25 October , 2006 Share Posted 25 October , 2006 Hi all, Dipsy blonde here Can anyone tell me how I go about obtaining a copy of service records for my Grandfather? I'm attaching a MIC I think this could be him but his name has been mis-spelt. (no surprise there, as his name is Lithuanian). All help would be appreciated. mcblondie Posted 25 October , 2006 Author Share Posted 25 October , 2006 Here is some other information that i received from some kind soul on this website. Medal card of Zokas, Jonas Corps Regiment No Rank Royal Scots 59684 Private Labour Corps 581966 Private http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...p;resultcount=2 The Jonas Lokas medal card has the same Labour Corp number... I'm sure this could be my G.Father. I think once i get some other records (if possible) or even a next of kin or address then i'll know for definite. Oh well onwards and upwards. dycer Posted 25 October , 2006 Share Posted 25 October , 2006 Katie, As I read the MIC it looks as if your Grandfather served in the Cameronians(Scottish Rifles) not the Royal Scots George
