6th Shropshires Posted 10 April , 2012 Share Posted 10 April , 2012 It's just a puzzle as to why a boy from this neck of the woods served with the KSLI and somehow made L/Cpl. There is a few Scots in the K.S.L.I. but most of them transfarred from the A.S.C., there are not many who enlisted straight into the K.S.L.I. 6th Shropshires Posted 10 April , 2012 Share Posted 10 April , 2012 Hello Annette While researching my grandfather's history with RFA and sorting out his souvenirs I've come across a BWM that does not belong to him but 19077 PTE A. Morris KSLI. Any information would be appreciated, maybe there's a rightful owner somewhere? Regards Mal Hi Mal 19077 Pte. Albert Morris was killed with the 5th K.S.L.I. on 24th August 1916. He comes from my part of the world, he was born at Hopton Wafers and later moved to Cleobury Mortimer. I am not sure if family are still in the area but I could try and find out.
