Peter Bennett Posted 22 October , 2006 Share Posted 22 October , 2006 They have radically changed the criteria. The site previously included Shot At Dawns, Casualties aged 17 and under, Families (Brothers/Fathers etc) Decorated Soldiers. Now they just show photos of men who died, and if matched, gravestones. Peter Bennett Posted 28 October , 2006 Share Posted 28 October , 2006 Sadly, this the response; Hi Peter, We have decided to shut the website down due to work and personal commitments. Many thanks for your support to the website over the years. It has been sincerely appreciated. However there are no plans to restore the site. Best Wishes, John & Beverley

Hywyn Posted 29 October , 2006 Share Posted 29 October , 2006 Some of the archived stuff can be found here. http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.silentcities.co.uk I've not fully explored it but if you select the March 7th page you get what looks like the Home Page which you can navigate from. Some come up some don't. Looks like lots of photos missing. Hywyn
