SFayers Posted 17 October , 2006 Share Posted 17 October , 2006 In memory of my step-mum's uncle, Launcelot Charles Victor Andrews who died of wounds on 17th October 1917 whilst serving with the 11th Battalion Suffolk Regiment. Launcelot was one of a number of chaps from the battalion who died that day as a result of machine gun and artillery barrages that fell whilst they were performing road maintainance tasks in the Proven area.
