Hambo Posted 13 October , 2006 Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Glyn From the 20th of April they were in trenches at Gravnstafel. On the 24th they were pushed back at an angle due to a gas attack in the early morning. Still there on the 2nd of May they saw "strong bodies of the enemy observed moving from Passchendale towards the left trenches, which from that time onwards suffered very severe bombardment, parts indeed, being blown to pieces, necessitating their evacuation." Between the 24th and the 3rd of May (when they were relived) they suffered 6 officers and 100 other ranks killed with 13 officers and 363 other ranks wounded Not much but it's from the Regimental history, so a war diary would give more Hambo
shaymen Posted 13 October , 2006 Author Share Posted 13 October , 2006 Hambo Youv'e come up trumps again. Thanks Glyn
