Can anyone help?

I have a distant relative whose details are ( as far as we know they are accurate)

Private 241855 Walter Bryers Turgoose 5th Btn KOYLI KIA 20/7/1918

His name is apparently recorded on the Soissons Memorial Aisne

BUT I cannot bring him up on the CWGC search web site!!

Anyone any ideas how to proceed?

Heres hoping

Go back to the CWGC search page and enter the surname Turgoose and nothing else.

The results will be 8 soldiers with that surname, and he is number 7.

I know this is a long shot, as this is a very old thread, but would would love to hear from either poster who have an interest in Walter Turgoose.

Walter is my ex wife's Mother cousin.

He joined up with his brother William (ex wife's Grandad) - as they were similiar ages. Walter had been born to William's elder sister, Mary - out of wedlock, and while Mary was still young = hence the statement about him being brought up by his grandparents.

cheers,

poster edorc was on the forum earlier this month. You can see that by hovering your cursor over his name. You might try sending him a Personal Message.

Thanks Keith - I had noticed that.

I had sent them a PM - nearly a year ago - and it remains unread - was trying this approach before resorting to PM again.

cheers,

Ten years later & PM still not read......@asdarley

He hasn't logged on since last year so maybe this tag might work @asdarley

He may of course have changed his email address...
