I have a friend, yes I do!, who would like a little more info about his wifes relative. Any help from war diary etc greatly recieved.

Additional Information: Son of William C. and Ellen E. Broughton,

of 9, Rosebery Avenue, Gloucester.

June 16th 1915 1st battalion Northumberland Fusiliers advanced by Railway Wood for attack on Bellewaarde Ridge.

"All along the front men were falling as the assaulting lines moved at the double across NML."

386 Other ranks killed, wounded or missing.

Still with the old firm- no names no pack drill- but at Coventry at the moment.

You still knocking around?

Anyway back on topic. I will have alook at the post and see how its progressing. When I saw the addition to my post here, I recalled I had never really followed up on this for you. Now I have been caught out!
