sailors uniform

any help to date this uniform would be a great help, I believe the tally to read HMS VIVID, not sure about the badge...many thanks, Jon :ph34r:

Jon,

Pre 1934 as Vivid changed its name to HMS Drake, the badge is a Stoker, I would suspect he joined as a boy because of the length of his sleeves.

That style of uniform was worn mainly unchanged from the great war to the 1970s.

Have you got any possible names?

Thanks Charles, we're looking for Woodhouses' at the moment, a group of brothers and possibly cousins that went of to war, thanks for any help, Jon :ph34r:
