sazzy Posted 12 October , 2006 Share Posted 12 October , 2006 evening everyone i know this is a long shot but i'm still researching my man w carter 86390176 tunnelling coy 1192 2nd/A/S Highlanders iv'e read pages (and pages) of war dairies got medal cards ,found out that he was discharged due to sickness etc etc but i can't find out where William was from and/or born i've been on the 1901 cenus but i didn't really have enough info to narrow down my search about 350 w.carters came up.(Am i doing the right thing i thought if i could find out were he was from i could find out were he went on discharge and his life and the war until his death I am aware that i asking a lot !!)is there any where else i should be looking/or doing any ideas sarah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
