Guest Posted 12 October , 2006 Share Posted 12 October , 2006 Dear all, Ive just come back from visiting my great uncles grave in the Philosophe cenetery in Mazingarbe, near Loos. I notices that he is busried with 3 other members of his regiment (12th Btn Suffolk) who dies on the same day 25th July 1916. Has anyone got any ideas on how/what was happening at that time. Also what could have been the likely cause of these 4 soliers deaths, e.g. shell, raids, etc. Kind regards, Mike Kelly
PBI Posted 12 October , 2006 Share Posted 12 October , 2006 sounds as if a shell burst may have got them all.

PBI Posted 13 October , 2006 Share Posted 13 October , 2006 could be worth checking the battalion war diarys out, these may shed some more light on what happened that Day.
