I’m researching the fighting Boshells and have hit the usual glitches with Gazettes Online (and the Adobe updates crashed my computer), I’ve been doing well finding the appointment but not the medal entries so ay help appreciated and eagerly anticipated.

Hi, Steve.

Have you been having problems with the Gazette taking ages to serach. I see they have added the Victorian Gazettes now...

per Ardua,

You might want to stick the word Boshell into the Search here:

Hi Steve

Gazette's very slow to search, seems to have only happened since they uploaded all the additional pre-1900 Gazettes.

You may be interested to know that I have included Boshell in the latest Royal Berkshire photographic book (1743-1914) (comes out this week) via the RGBW Regimental Museum at Salisbury (The Wardrobe). In the first book (1914 - 1959) I did for the museum I included a photo of Boshells son getting his DSO from Mountbatten. Thier is a fiar amount on the Boshells in the Regimental Journal 'China Dragon'. I think you ought to send an enquiry to the Regt Museum, you might strike it lucky.

Cheers

We'll look out foryour new one, the 1914-59 one has proved most helpful. Thanks for suggestion of contacting the museum.
