Tom Morgan Posted 3 October , 2006 Share Posted 3 October , 2006 Andy - I'm sure I read in an earlier thread that the passengers in the helicopter weren't allowed to take photographs, because the helicopter operator made a little extra by selling photos himself. This sounds incredible but I'm sure it's what someone said. Tom
Marco Posted 3 October , 2006 Share Posted 3 October , 2006 I'd love to see some aerial photo's ! Here you are: http://www.xs4all.nl/~aur/Battlefields/airview.htm Quality of the photos is kept low for a reason Rent an aircraft + pilot from the club at Amiens and take as many photos as you like. Rupert Posted 3 October , 2006 Share Posted 3 October , 2006 You can rent a plane (with pilot, of course) from the airfield on the hights above Meaulte near Albert. You can take as many photos as you want. Best in the winter when the trench lines are visible.

Desmond7 Posted 3 October , 2006 Share Posted 3 October , 2006 I did these some time ago but still think this could be done across battlefield - and no, not just for July 1!!

Many thanks for the great links from all the forum members today, I like the idea of overlay pictures, here's one of my own Do any other members have these type of pictures that myself and Desmond7 have done? Cheeky monkeys on the helicopter flights, but I suppose it's a good money spinner! Andy
