Jon6640 Posted 28 September , 2006 Share Posted 28 September , 2006 Can any clever member identify the Scottish Regiment pictured? Pte Follows is the bugler on the left.
Macthomas Posted 28 September , 2006 Share Posted 28 September , 2006 It looks like the Black Watch to me but I am no expert. The Tartan looks correct and also I believe that the black watch wore rosettes on their kilts. I am sure someone will correct if I am wrong. Jon6640 Posted 16 August , 2007 Author Share Posted 16 August , 2007 Can anyone hazard a guess as to the rough year of the above Scottish Regiment photo. This is George Follows when he's a bit older:
ian turner Posted 16 August , 2007 Share Posted 16 August , 2007 Looks like RE in the second pic. There is an MIC for a George H Follows, Sapper - ''incomplete''. Could not see one with a Highland regiment though. Could be Black Watch - any chance of a larger scan of him only - there is a badge on the sporran, and his Glengarry badge might show us something.
