mjh Posted 13 September , 2006 Share Posted 13 September , 2006 A previous thread pointed me in the direction of this great website which enables you to navigate and zoom in to the Ypres battlefield areas - far better than google earth for this area. http://www.giswest.be/artman/publish/cat_index_75.html My question is however ..does anyone know of a way to save any of these photos as jpg's ? I have tried without success. Or does anyone know the procedure to go about ordering the images ? They have been very useful in finding out old trench positions, and would prove invaluable on a trip to the battlefields, to retrace my gt uncle's steps. egbert Posted 13 September , 2006 Share Posted 13 September , 2006 Robert gave the wrong command: its Ctrl and Print Screen and the rest of procedure is ok
Ken Lees Posted 13 September , 2006 Share Posted 13 September , 2006 I have simply hit the 'print screen' key and then paste into PaintShop Pro. It takes a while, but I then 'stitch' the various squares together to make up the large map. I then overlay the trench maps with quite useful results.
