Officer killed in WWI - no records at CWGC

Recommended Posts

Am looking for information on an officer named Hardy Fleetwood. Anglo-Irish family, son of a peer of some kind. Reportedly killed in WWI as an Army officer. The CWGC site has no likely candidates.

Any suggestions appreciated.

He is not in Officers died in the great war or De Ruvigneys Roll of Honour either. I also looked in Soldiers of the great war (USA) and he was not there also.

How about looking at a copy of Burke's peerage to see what you can find about the Fleetwood family, and thus what type of 'peerage'? It may have him under another name related to that. The online version is giving me no listing for Fleetwood.

Thanks for all the help!

Will check with the family again, but the Maj. Gen. is either the man in question or his uncle IIRC.
