chrisharley9 Posted 3 September , 2006 Share Posted 3 September , 2006 Found this memorial plaque in one of our local churches yesterday Claude's details follow below In Loving memory of Pte CLAUDE DORMAN Son of Mr & Mrs J Dorman Died a prisoner of war In Germany 1918 He shall hunger no neither thirst any more 41924 Private 7th Bn Leicestershire Regiment. Born & Resident March Enlisted Wisbech. Died 26th October 1918 whilst a POW in Germany aged 19. Son of John F Dorman of 34 Norwood Side, March, Cambs. Bursar at March Grammar School before enlisted in June 1917, aged 18. Went to France on Easter Monday 1918. Buried Cologne Southern Cemetery Grave XIV.A.19.
