Grateful for more info on Lt George Macpherson (dow 15th Sep 1916) - particularly date of birth.

Uncontentious facts thus far identified are:

Commissioned into 3rd Bn E Kent Regt (the Buffs; attached to MGC in Apr 1916. Seriously injured on 15th September, he was taken to 34 CCS at Grovetown Station but DOW the same day aged 20.

Buried at Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte Plot IC19.

As ever, my thanx in advance

Stephen :)

Birth registered in Bromsgrove district, Q2/1896. Volume 6c, Page 369.

But you'll have to get the certificate to get the date!

Just seven of Her Majesty's pounds from here

Obviously this is the MacPherson of the Tank Corps - interesting as I never knew he had previously been commissioned into the Buffs and as a Man of Kent I feel I should have known.

Why would the Wykhamist Roll take his service back to 1909 - is this because he served in the OTC
