3 - 9/10/1914 Took part in defence of Antwerp [see http://www.1914-1918.net/bat5.htm]

8/6/1917 Engaged in action with enemy submarine in Sands(??). "Hunterick"

Sorry - can't make anything out of the top image.

Difficult to read the record of service but if I read it correctly, his service was mostly in defensively armed merchant ships (DAMS) on the books of HMS PRESIDENT III (see other threads about HMS PRESIDENT) or at Chatham Division HQ. I think I also see an entry for HMS PEMBROKE (which was Chatham Barracks and another pay accounting base) while serving in SS ARGO(???).

There are more papers for this man at the Fleet Air Arm Museum:

Chatham/18760; BOULTON, RJ Enlisted HO 27/08/14 DEMOB Date and place of birth: 06/07/67, PECKHAM; He rejoined for HO but had former RMLI service. 1914*
