My Gt Grandfather was a Driver in the DAC=Divisional Ammunition Column, RFA what would his role have been?

John is essentially correct. Your GFs number would determine if he was motorised as John suggests or horsed transport.

His service number was L35197 would this suggest motorised or horsed transport

I am confusing ASC numbering with RFA numbering!! Your mans number shows a locally recruited RFA number.
