chris basey Posted 28 October , 2003 Share Posted 28 October , 2003 Few articles written at this time will be more appropriate and moving than Robert Chesshyre's 'LEST WE FORGET' which is published in the November issue of SAGA Magazine. He recounts his visit to the Somme and his meetings there with children at the cemeteries and memorials. He then moves on to Normandy where he meets a Primary School teacher who summed up just what we should be about: "I used to wonder why we had Remembrance Day. It was time, I thought, to move on. That was until we first came here. Now I believe that we must never forget."
