Thank you very much Coldstreamer. It would appear he went to the Grammar school here in Bedale. I wonder why that was? More research I think.

Roger,

My neck of the woods this so checked the local memorial rolls and he is not on Grangetown or Middlesbrough but is on the memorial in South Bank.
