Can anyone help me id a badge please.

It is one and a quater inch in size.

Blue around the edge, with a Union Jack Flag in the middle.

Writing around the edge "COMRADES OF THE GREAT WAR"

It is made by J.R GUANT.

And has a number on it, 5 digits.

Who would have been given this badge, and where would it have been worn?

Thank you.

Thank you HarryBettsMCDCM,

I have never seen one of those before.

Can I trace whose badge I have bought by the number on the back?

Pettsy :)

Hi,

Unfortunately not, these ex~Service organisations{that eventually joined forces & became the embryo British Legion{later RBL}must have had membership rolls.but I suspect they are lost in the mists of Time.

Unless one day someone discovers a dusty register somewhere,in an opld Office,I expect they will in the main remain anonymous. ;)

Thanks Harry,

The British Legion, I used to love going there when I was a kid :D

Dad gave me my grandad's BL Badge last week.

We all used to go every week, to Parson Green, Fulham branch, great memories.
